We are looking for motivated and independent Fiber Drop Technicians to join our innovative team. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in the field and enjoy working autonomously.
Duties
Proactively contact customers to arrange drop placements.
Expertly install aerial or underground fiber drops from the NAP/MPT to residential or business locations.
Seamlessly connect fiber drops to assigned ports.
Skillfully strip and coil fiber drops in the customer's NID, installing new NIDs if necessary.
Efficiently handle multiple fiber drops for duplexes or lane houses and connect at the MPT.
Meticulously label fiber drops with house numbers and ensure the worksite is pristine upon completion.
Accurately update TELUS records with the customer's MPT/NAP and port numbers.
What You Bring:
Your own vehicle (white minivan, truck, or ladder truck) and tools.
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
A strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
Proficiency with hand tools such as voltage detectors and drills.
A commitment to strict safety protocols.
The physical ability to climb 28 ft ladders and poles, and work in confined spaces.
Compensation: 100% piece work
