Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our growing team. This role is crucial in maintaining optimal inventory levels, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring smooth procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of forecasting, purchase order creation, AR/AP processes, and inventory management.

Responsibilities
- Source and procure materials, supplies, and services in alignment with company requirements.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to secure favorable contracts.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods.
- Utilize SAP and other MRP systems to track inventory levels, orders, and deliveries.
- Review and process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) related to purchasing activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast needs and develop purchasing strategies.
- Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Fabricate reports on purchasing activities, vendor performance, and cost savings initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities.

Requirements
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build effective vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles and practices.
- Proficient in using SAP or similar MRP software for inventory management.
- Strong understanding of AR/AP workflows
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing/inventory software (experience with QuickBooks, ERP systems is a plus)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess pricing strategies and market conditions.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
