BJ Bobcat & Trucking Ltd. is hiring an experienced Class 1 Gravel Truck driver with experience hauling quad wagons, for projects across Red Deer and Central Alberta. BJ Bobcat has been a staple in the Central Alberta residential construction home building market for over 20 years, and we pride ourselves on doing a job done right, well, on time, and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently operate gravel truck and wagon to various locations.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintenance (e.g., fueling, greasing, minor repairs if capable) to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with equipment operators and other site personnel to meet project deadlines and safety standards.
- Adhere to BJ Bobcat & Trucking Ltd.'s safety policies, including attending safety meetings and complying with drug and alcohol testing.
- Maintain detailed records of material hauling and project activities.
- Assist with other tasks as needed, such as operating skid steers (ie. shoveling, sweeping).

Qualifications and Requirements:

- 3-5 years of Class 1 driving experience operating with a wagon configuration, preferably in gravel hauling, running a manual transmission 18-speed.
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean 5 year driver's abstract (no more than 3-5 demerits).
- Proficiency in backing up and safely dumping in varied conditions (e.g., confined spaces, uneven terrain).
- Current safety certifications, including CSTS-09, and Standard First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of truck maintenance and workplace safety protocols.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Physically capable of working in all weather conditions and handling long shifts (up to 12 hours).
- Based in or able to commute to Red Deer (home every night).
- Most weekends and long weekends off pending work load.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Read and speak fluent English.
