Job description
Responsibilities:
Load and unload materials
Receive material correctly, tag material, put away safely, and notify warehouse staff
Store material in correct locations in the yard and warehouse.
Assist customers in handling large or heavy items.
Be familiar with store inventory and prices
Keep the yard clean and the inventory neat and orderly
Take all necessary safety precautions when handling freight, tools, and equipment.
Be familiar with the safe operation and maintenance of equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, banding machine, etc.
Must be alert to all yard activities to helping customers and use equipment properly
Deliver purchases and/or pick up returned goods (for those qualified)
Clean out all shop garbage bins
Manage shipping & receiving products, materials, and supplies
Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments, as needed
Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves on an in & out sheet and counting accurately.
Keeps vehicle fueled in accordance to management instructions and business needs and notifies management of needed repairs. Follows all safety rules and applicable laws
Qualifications/Skills:
Receiving & sorting incoming and outgoing stock
Receiving & sorting incoming & outgoing job specific orders
Receiving, stocking, and stacking
Pulling, packing, and loading - physical labor
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong sense of time organization and urgency
Able to work independently and within a team

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Forklift Certification required
Driving a Truck and Trailer Experience
Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $30 - $35 depending on experience
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Day shift
Weekend availability
