CareerMOVES is an employment program designed to help people gain entry level employment in the Supply Chain/inventory management industry. It is a 15 week commitment. The first week we go over job search skills, then the participant gets 10 weeks of full-time in-class training with Red Deer Polytechnic where they learn about: digital literacy, Interpersonal/Conflict Resolution, Adaptability, creative problem solving, introduction to supply chain management, Emerging Technologies and Robotics, Governance and Ethics, inventory management, negotiation, Procurement, Business Operations Overview, and Logistics and Transportation. Participants also do some safety ticket training including forklift. After that, the participants are then connected with a local employer for a 4-week work experience to help put into practice what they have learned. Then we assist with paid job placements in this field, along with a 90 day follow up period.

To be eligible for this program you must be over 18, out of high school for at least 1 year, be a Canadian citizen or PR, have a driver's license/vehicle, live in the Red Deer area, and be unemployed due to no fault of your own.
