At Chowdown, we are passionate about connecting people with amazing local restaurants. Forget chains—our heart lies with independent eateries that bring creativity and flavor to Calgary's dining scene. While we love experiential dining with new and creative menus, we also adore classic diners, burger joints, family-friendly Italian restaurants—you name it. We aim to help and support locally-owned restaurants through positive interactions. We encourage Calgarians to dine out, explore hidden gems, and share their positive experiences.

Chowdown has already been a big success in the US with Chowdown Cincinnati, and now we're bringing this delicious movement north of the border with Chowdown YYC!

We are searching for a dynamic, outgoing foodie to join our growing Calgary team. If you love discovering new spots, sharing mouth-watering content, and building relationships within the food community, this is the perfect gig for you.

What you'll do:
• Explore Calgary's vibrant food scene, dine at exciting local restaurants, and capture engaging photos and videos of your experiences—including delicious dishes, restaurant décor, and the wonderful people you meet.
• Meet and build relationships with restaurant owners, chefs, and managers, sharing the Chowdown vision and finding ways to support their growth.
• Attend and represent Chowdown at local foodie events and community gatherings.
• Help grow our online community by actively posting, engaging, and moderating our Chowdown social media channels.

What we're looking for:
• A genuine passion for food, local restaurants, and exploring culinary experiences.
• Comfortable and creative with photography and short-form video (think Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook). We have a team devoted to providing tech and video support, so your main focus will be meeting restaurant owners and capturing content. Our media team handles most of the editing.
• Outgoing personality—someone who loves talking to people, sharing ideas, and making connections.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, enthusiastic approach.
• Self-driven and capable of working independently while collaborating with our supportive team.

What we offer:
