Flooring Superstores Calgary is a growing flooring retail company. The position of Warehouse Worker/Shipper Receiver is diverse in nature as all positions within the company. Below is a general guideline of the job description to give direction, set expectations and build a stronger team.
We are looking for a leader who will provide a proactive approach, work independently and add a sense of “ownership” to this career opportunity.
Salary: $23.00 per hour based on experience,
Schedule: 5 days a week including 1 weekend schedule

Please have a valid driver's license and be prepared to obtain drivers abstract.
Some of daily tasks are as follows:
• Cut, label and assemble full customer orders for next business day
• Receive, unload and complete inspections/paper works on all vendor delivery trucks
• Cut, pick and pack orders as needed for immediate sale during any work day
• Delivery and pick up of customer products from vendors, vendor displays, etc.
• Keep correct inventory counts on all in-stock products
• Ensure all in-stock product has samples cut and displayed
• Keep warehouse in a clean and tidy manner during work hours
• Drive and manoeuvre forklift
• Ensure strict safety guidelines are followed and documented to WCB and OHS standards
• Set up, tear down and movement of displays and products throughout the store and warehouse
• Ensure roll ends are placed on wall and labelled
• Sweep and use floor cleaners on all warehoused areas to maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Empty storage garbage and shredders as required
• Shipping and receiving
Some of the Equipment Responsibilities are as follows:
• Regularly inspect and maintain all equipment necessary to perform the job
• Complete daily pre-shift inspection reports for all equipment before use
• Fill all batteries for forklifts and floor cleaner every 90 days with “distilled” water to ensure proper operation
• Operate forklifts and cutter in a safe and efficient manner
• Move products by loading/unloading shipments to proper storage areas (racks, stacks)
• Maintain/clean outside back area to ensure cleanliness and safety for fire hazards and emergency exits
• Plug into power source weekly to ensure they are fully charged
Additional Responsibilities:
• Participate in certification programs for forklift training and operation as required
• Report any unsafe work conditions or injuries immediately
• Participate in on/offsite company meetings
• Maintain truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements; arranging for repairs and cleaning it inside and out on a regular basis
• Physical duties, such as lifting, pulling, and pushing are required on a daily basis
Skills/Qualifications: Teamwork, Coordination, Organization, Planning, Time Management, Reporting Skills, Inventory Control, Documentation Skills, Equipment Maintenance, Data Entry Skills, Dependability and experienced in using digital tools and Microsoft office proficient.
