Mature couple- ages 52 & 46, together over 26 yrs- seeking a male or female tenant to rent one bedroom in a three bedroom home that's located in the St.Vital area, right off of Dunkirk.
The room will come unfurnished- though we may be able able to provide some furniture if needed.
You must be ok with stairs because it's located on the top floor of the home.
Must be ok with sharing a kitchen and bathroom. We'll figure out each other's schedules and find a rhythm that works for everyone! All that we ask is that you're a tidy person overall and clean up after yourself.
You must be a dog lover, as we have a fully trained and very well behaved 7 year old chihuahua named Ralphy. He is a really chilled out little guy, sleeps most of the time and only barks when someone comes to the door- but stops immediately. He's not hyper or yappy like a lot of chihuahuas can be.
No smoking indoors whatsoever, but are ok with it outside- including 4/20 friendly smokers.
We will have a month to month agreement, with a month's notice required should you decide to move out, and vice versa. We'll make sure that we're all on the same page as far as house “rules” go, and would only have to give you notice to move out if not abiding by those predetermined rules- like paying your rent on time, being respectful to and of each other's privacy, etc.
We're really friendly and easy going people, just looking to lower the cost of living for both us and to help someone who's on their own & also having a hard time affording a nice home in a nice area, or who just prefers not to live by themselves.
We have adult children and some of our immediate family in the area who may visit from time to time, but are otherwise not very social and really just keep to ourselves.
The home located on a clean, safe and family friendly street- close to all amenities like St.Vital park, mall and various other stores & restaurants.
We are asking for $875/month, and your rent will include everything- all utilities, laundry, internet, parking, etc.
Depending on your situation we can also discuss the idea of providing your dinner each night for an additional charge- as long as you're not a picky eater & understand we're just home cooks, not 5 star chefs lol. We're a very meat and potatoes kind of family, so if you are a vegetarian meal share probably won't work, but you must be ok with us cooking and bbqing meat on the regular!
We'll share the yard (and yard work! lol) and don't mind if you want to have company over to enjoy it as well- mutual respect is all we really require in a housemate.
