Traffic Clerk / Logistic Clerk job in Mississauga

A Traffic Clerk is responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods, vehicles, and related documentation within an organization or supply chain. Their primary role is to ensure the smooth flow of inbound and outbound shipments, maintain accurate records, and support efficient logistics operations. The Traffic Clerk must utilize logistics software systems to streamline operations and improve the accuracy of shipment tracking, inventory management, and order processing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Shipment Coordination:
o Schedule and monitor the movement of incoming and outgoing shipments.
o Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
o Use Software to track orders, track and confirm shipments, ensuring smooth logistics processes.
· Documentation Management:
o Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and invoices.
o Utilize Software tools to manage inventory, and ensure accurate product details.
o Maintain logs of vehicle activities, shipment details, and delivery schedules in the relevant software systems.
· Communication:
o Act as a liaison between drivers, warehouse staff, and logistics teams to ensure efficient operations.
o Address and resolve any transportation or shipment-related issues promptly.
o Maintain continuous follow ups to emails and other modes of communication.
· Compliance and Safety:
o Ensure shipments comply with transportation regulations and safety standards.
o Monitor freight conditions and report any damage or discrepancies in Produce Pro.
· Record-Keeping:
o Track shipment statuses and maintain detailed records for audit purposes in softwares.
o Manage databases related to shipping costs, schedules, and vehicle usage to optimize operations.
· Training and Support:
o Demonstrate a willingness to get trained on new processes and systems.
o Train other team members to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development.
o Step into others' roles as required to support the team during absences or high-demand periods.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
· Proficiency in logistics software or systems (e.g., iTrade, Produce Pro, SAP, TMS,WMS).
· Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
· Advanced knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
