Job Title: Driller/Locator – Fiber Optic Infrastructure Installation
Location: [Calgary]
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Driller/Locator to support the installation of fiber optic infrastructure. This position involves performing directional drilling, operating drill locating equipment, and carrying out minor landscaping tasks, in addition to other assigned labor duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute directional drilling operations for fiber optic cable installation
• Operate and manage drill locating equipment to ensure precise cable placement
• Perform minor landscaping duties to restore job sites post-installation
• Assist with additional labor tasks as required throughout the project
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated positive work ethic with a strong commitment to workplace safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Valid Class 5 driver's license (required)
• Prior experience with directional drilling operations
• Experience with drill locating equipment and techniques
Working Conditions:
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary
• Availability for travel and work away from home as required
