Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher proficient in Academic and Islamic education. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, encouraging student engagement, and implementing effective teaching strategies. This role requires a commitment to student development and the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs. Students will range from the ages of 4 to 12 years old. The candidate will be required to provide support to each respective student as they follow an age appropriate online Ontario curriculum. In addition, the candidate will be required to develop and implement age specific lessons on Islamic studies, Arabic and Quranic recitations.
Responsibilities
• Provide in-person support and guidance on lesson plans that align with Ontario curriculum standards using the provided online platform.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding academic performance.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a respectful learning environment.
Skills
• Ability to teach various academic subjects to students ranging from ages 4 to 12.
• Advanced knowledge in teaching Islamic studies, Arabic, and Quranic recitations.
• Ability to manage multiple students and organize day-to-day learning based on age group.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents.
• Ability to engage students with diverse backgrounds, learning styles and age.
• Proficient in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior.
• Familiarity with educational technology tools that enhance learning experiences
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
Experience
• A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is required
• Previous teaching experience in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning tools is beneficial.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success are critical attributes for this role.
