Job Summary
The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance in the facility. This role is essential in ensuring that all machinery and tools operate efficiently and safely.
Main Responsibilities
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, replacing or repairing parts as necessary.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, engineering drawings, and schematic diagrams to determine repair procedures and ensure proper alignment, installation, dismantling, and assembly of equipment.
Work closely with the production team to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
Operate various machine tools to fabricate parts to fulfill maintenance or repair requirements.
Use rigging equipment and lifting tools such as cranes or hoists, maintaining the highest level of safety.
Use hand and power tools and welding equipment to assemble and install machine equipment.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gearboxes, and other equipment.
Perform daily maintenance tasks on machines and conduct preventative maintenance.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed and parts used.
Assist in training operators and production staff in equipment functionality and preventative maintenance practices.
Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) certification or equivalent
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and machinery.
Manual dexterity and the ability to handle tools and small parts.
Availability to work rotating shifts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 per hour
