DAY & ROSS TRANSPORT is currently seeking professional Class 1 Linehaul Truck Drivers – US Triangle. The Driver can be domiciled in GTA or GMA in Ontario and Quebec provinces.

The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and strong commitment to providing Superior Quality Service.

Canadian miles: $0.60 per mile.
USA miles: $0.63 per mile.

Responsibilities

Running Linehaul between the Maritimes, United States eastern seaboard, and Ontario/Quebec.
Deliver freight to assigned locations ensuring timely delivery.
Offload variable shipment weight and handle freight equipment properly and in a safe manner to avoid any damage.
Communicate efficiently with the central dispatch and customers.
Operate the tractor trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws.
Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation.
Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner.
Willingness to work linehaul legs into the United States, including New York and New Jersey.

Qualifications

Education Required: High School or GED.
Class 1 driver's license with a minimum of 6 month of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America required.
Clean driver's abstract and criminal search.
Eligibility to cross the border with US.
Familiarity with satellite systems.
Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment.
Safety conscious.
Must have flexibility to work various shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends.
New Drivers are also welcomed with 1 month of training provided by us.
