I have one large furnished room for rent, with some space for storage, in the basement of a house in Sunnyside (NW of Calgary, near downtown and the river). It is available June 1st and it is for short-term or long-term rental. The rent is $750 and it includes utilities. The damage/security deposit is $750. The room is for one person only with no pet. The house is my workplace (I work from home), therefore the room is more suitable for someone who is not at home all day and doesn't cook a lot (no red meat and pork, but chicken and some fish are fine, and no strong spices such as curry). This place works much better for someone who works full time and/or study, in the morning and the afternoon/evening, and keeps busy with other activities ( sports, volunteering, etc.). There is only one bathroom in the house to be shared with me and it is conveniently located next to the back entrance door of the house and next to the basement stairs. I am the only other person living in the house. The house is equipped with main appliances. The furniture in the room includes one bed (double size mattress and box spring), two dressers, two desks, two chairs and two lamps. The house is 8 min. walk to C-train and Kensington (supermarket, coffee shops, bars and restaurants, banks, etc.), less than 1 min. to bus stop around the corner, 3 min. walk to river and paths (biking and walking) and 10 min. walk to downtown and Prince's Island Park, and 20 min. walk to Bow Valley College. It is very close to SAIT and ACAD, and four train stations away from the University of Calgary. It is one of the best locations in town.
