Looking for a roommate for large renovated 4 ½ bedroom apartment in the heart of NDG for the first of July. The unit is currently equipped with all necessary kitchen utilities (oven, stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator, AC). All common areas have been furnished, and some basic furnishings can be arranged for the bedroom (Bed and desk). The unit does not have laundry, but the building has its own onsite laundromat in the basement. Parking is currently not included in the lease, but arrangements can be made with landlord. The building management is pet friendly and most tenants have dogs (any-size) or cats.
The building is just a short convenient walk from Monkland village and all the restaurants or shops that are needed on a day-to-day basis. The apartment is also conveniently situated Infront of an IGA supermarket with an 8-minute walk to A Provigo and boutique épiceries. Public transit is easily accessible with multiple nearby bus stops allowing for easy access to both Concordia university campuses and other locations downtown (66, 162, 17 and 102). Additionally, the apartment is also a short 12-minute walk from both Villa Maria and Snowdon metro should. The building is also located a short drive away from the Décarie express way and is a 10-minute drive from the royalmount shopping centre.
Current Roommate and ideal fit: The current tenant is a quiet, introverted university student at Concordia University and has a small dog (Jack-russell/Beagle mix). The ideal roommate would be a calm university or young professional and MUST be comfortable with dogs. Milo, the dog, and gets along well with most other animals but does not like large golden retrievers and is not compatible with rodents. Before seeing the apartment in person, we request that we host a small online meeting to ensure compatibility.
Rent: $1000 (with all utilities including internet, electricity, hydro, gas, and heating)
Furnishings: All common areas are furnished; basic bedroom furnishings can be arranged for the new roommate.
Accessibility: The apartment is on the second floor and there is an elevator, but the entrance does not have a ramp. The apartment isn't on a major street so there isn't much outside noise. The building is mostly quiet except for the occasional dog barking or if people are talking loudly in the hallway.
Pet friendly: Pet owners are welcome! I do have a small dog, so we'd have to see if they're compatible.
