Photos 1 – 7: Antique Silverplate Engraved Pierced Flower Frog Vase/Bowl
This antique silver plate flower ‘frog' bowl is classic and elegant. The top silver flower ‘frog' lifts off to reveal the central flower bowl. The silver plated flower frog has a heavy, copper center surrounded by engraved florals and decorative swirls. This reticulated leaf flower bowl has a simple, scalloped edge.

Hallmarked: VICTORIAN PLATE E.P. COPPER 3414½ (dates to 1923 - 24)
It measures 6½” diameter x 2” H (2 ½” diameter)
The ‘frog' has 11 openings and is also heavy so that while the whole looks delicate, it is very stable when on a table surface.

Very good condition – some scratches on the top of the ‘frog' which are hidden when flowers are placed in the openings. It is rare that the original ‘frog' is found with its bowl ‘mate'.

Flower ‘frogs' were very popular in the mid-twenties and thirties during the flapper era.
Such a wonderful, easy way to present your short floral centerpiece. You will look like an experienced flower arranger! It is certainly a unique display piece which will create some interesting conversations! (Creative ideas include: used as a desk pen holder; holder for make-up brushes; …)

Beautiful wide scimitar with pierced and engraved design, and wide bladed five tine matching fork. Celluloid plastic or bone handles. Hairline fissure on one handle with marks. Circa 1925 England. Offered for $25.
