Forest Hill Woodworking, is looking for a Cabinetmaker to join our team and to contribute to the development of our company that manufactures a quality line of fine cabinetry products.

Responsibilities:

• Read and understand blueprints, sketches, shop drawings or plans for information pertaining to type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard, and dimensions of the cabinet, structure or fixture to be fabricated for store fixtures;
• Cut, shape, and assemble wood materials to build cabinets according to design specifications;
• Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints;
• Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics;
• Apply varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished products;
• Practices good housekeeping discipline on the job, which includes daily clean-up, organized tool and material storage and weekly trash removal, to ensure a safe, non-cluttered workplace;
• Operate woodworking machines and use hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components;
• Collaborate with clients and other team members to ensure customer satisfaction,
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Secondary school (preferred);
• 1 years experience in cabinetmaking/build-in units, cabinets restoration or similar;
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation;
• Attention to detail;
• Manual dexterity;
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed – up to 23 kg (50 lbs);
• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills;
• Excellent time management skills;
• Excellent independent judgement and reasoning.

This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours /week).
Salary: Between $ 26.00 - $ 32.00/hour, TBD
