I have a monster sounding 1983 Gold Star GF100 Wreath banjo for sale.

The fingerboard is the darkest ebony I have ever seen that just makes the wreath pearl inlay pop.

I bought this banjo many years ago (2006) and only used it when I was traveling in my RV motorhome with the family.

Unfortunately the traveling has stopped and the banjo has become a case queen.

History of the banjo.

When I bought the banjo years ago it had a repaired peg head that had been that way for years. The banjo has a finish check on the back of the resonator and a side wall repair as well.

These were all done before I acquired the banjo. The back of the neck has a couple of small dents to it and the resonator has a tiny dent as well. Once again the way I received it.

A long time ago I sent the Gold Star rim to Steve Huber to have him make a Tone ring for it. Unfortunately the Gold Star Rim was lost in the mail.

So I sent my the whole banjo to Steve and he made me a new shell to fit my original Gold Star Tone ring. All the hardware and neck was sent to Steve as well so he could color match the rim and also fit everything together properly.

So what you are looking at is an all original 1983 Gold Star banjo but with a Steve Huber Rim in it. (There are no markings on the rim)

Banjo has all other original parts.
Neck, Gold Star Tuners, metal hardware, Gold Star adjustable tailpiece, resonator and Blue lined Gold Star case.

Frets are in magnificent shape as they were dressed a few years ago. Note the 5th string pip has been replaced with a Railway spike as the pip edge was broken when I acquired it. The hole was filled and RR spike installed.

Railway spikes are also installed on the banjo.
