The model CS430 Turntable - made in Germany from 1990 onwards, features a sleek, minimalistic & modern style, built on DUAL's legacy of design and craftsmanship. Combining reliable belt drive with the simplicity of manual start & the convenience of automatic return/shutoff, this unit has been meticulously refurbished, and runs steadily & quietly. The original DUAL/ORTOFON DMS 245 pickup cartridge has been fitted with a new aftermarket stylus, and tracks nicely @ 1.5 grams. The headshell - with its standard 1/2" spaced screw holes, allows easy swapping/upgrade of the cartridge if desired. Although it's not a high-end model, I believe that its performance compares favorably with that of some much pricier turntables on the market today.
