Triodetic designs and fabricates a wide range of steel structures such as thin-shell domes, raft foundations, curtain walls, and various other structures for projects around the world. The company is currently looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join the team.
To succeed, the candidate will need to stand out for creativity and communication skills. We are looking for someone who comes up with and communicates realistic solutions that meet building code requirements while balancing costs and fabrication capacities.
Strong interpersonal and writing skills are essential for working with a team and communicating with clients. Because most of our clients are Spanish speakers located in Chile, Peru, and Argentina, your ability to communicate effectively in Spanish will be considered an asset.

Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience designing and detailing structural steel, including at least 2 years working on thin-shell domes or reticulated space-frame foundations.
Proven track record with building codes for modular/curtain-wall systems.

Responsibilities
• Design and plan structural steel fabrications (including thin-shell domes and reticulated space-frame foundations)
• Plan and design domes, foundation systems, bridges, curtain walls, and space frame structures.
• Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements
• Develop construction specifications and procedures
• Ensure construction plans meet the guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials
• Interpret, review and approve survey and civil design work
• Prepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for construction projects
• Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates
• Review project plans to approve or recommend design changes
Credentials
Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
