Imperial was Chrysler Corporation's “top-of-the-line” luxury division between 1955 and 1973, created to compete with the Cadillac division of General Motors and Lincoln division of Ford Motor Co. Excellent mechanical condition. Rust free body and under carriage. Odometer shows approximately 105,000 miles. 5 New tires (including spare). Engine (V-8, 440 cu in. or 7.2 litre) was completely rebuilt 3000 miles ago with electronic ignition module installed. Transmission (“Chrysler 727” 3-speed automatic) was rebuilt and a new gas tank installed just prior to 2014 when it had approximately 101,500 miles on the odometer. The original 4-barrel Carter carburetor is present and works perfectly. This car has been driven recently in 2025 on trips up to 500 kms long (round trip 1000 kms) with confidence. The engine compartment was completely repainted and refinished with an original Imperial colour (medium blue) in 2014 when current owner bought the car and the engine was fully repainted with the original turquoise blue colour. The interior is in very good condition, with only slight wear showing on the driver's seat. The air conditioning compressor was fully rebuilt about 2 years ago. The rest of the interior is in excellent condition. The following new parts were installed in 2015 (about 3000 miles ago): all four shock absorbers, both front torsion bars, windshield washer tank and motor. The car passed a complete MOT safety inspection in 2014 in Ontario, Canada (about 4000 miles ago) in order to allow for licence plate to be issued. There are no signs of any kinds of rust whatsoever anywhere on the body, and no dents in the bodywork sheet metal anywhere to be seen.
