Up for sale is a vintage Sony CCD-TRV15 Handycam camcorder package. Manufactured in August 1999 (over 25 years old). COMPLETE KIT – comes with all the original items / accessories! The unit is clean and in excellent cosmetic shape (9.8/10 or so). The unit has been tested and is fully functional! Able to play back tapes recorded in Video8 format (will not play Hi8 or Digital8). The XR feature provides for extra resolution (around 16%, per online sources).

Nice, clean unit. Everything works as it should, and comes with everything you need to start enjoying. While the rechargeable battery pack is no good, the unit also comes with a battery case, which allows the camcorder to be powered using 6 ordinary AA batteries. Perfect for playing back / transferring those old Video8 format 8mm tapes and reliving those memories – or just for shooting, if you fancy the vintage feel! For transferring to a computer, one will require an adapter kit – they are relatively inexpensive on Amazon, and the accompanying software should be available online for free (I will be happy to point you to a good example listing on Amazon).
