1860-80 era…Information provided by Mr Earl Galvin (deceased) owner of Galvin Auctions in the (1970's and along with research……...Believe it to be a water colour painting depicting the renaissance era. The artist is E. Blasset and after his signature is a symbol meaning LR (Riel Royality art school). The painting represents east Europe (meaning anywhere east of France)… The frame is classified or called Aristocrat Shadow Box. It is very ornate in that it is hand carved Graveire engraving. As one will note it's a double framed and the inner is glass covered. The overall size of the frame is 42 x 50 inches…… For its age this item remains in excellent condition….. We are downsizing many of our items this being one of our most precious possessions looking for a lover of art.
