Job Opportunities at Placer Gold Mine Near Dawson City – Spere Exploration Inc.

We are hiring for our placer operation and seeking reliable team members.
All positions are based on a daily commute from Dawson (no on-site camp offered, but possible with your own RV or accommodations—negotiable). Transportation from Dawson City to the site may be provided; per diem for commuting costs and meals may be negotiable.

Dates: Approximately mid-May to mid-October 2026 (based on Yukon River ferry schedule)

Schedule: Flexible (e.g., Monday–Friday or other arrangements, 8–12 hours per day including commute)

Bonus: Gold production bonus available, tied to seasonal targets (full payout requires commitment to end date)

Full-Time Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Duties: Maintain/repair equipment (dozers, excavators, trommels, pumps); may operate or complete other tasks as needed
• Wage: $40–50/hour OT at 1.5x
• Requirements: Heavy duty mechanic experience; Red Seal Journeyman certification preferred

Full-Time Equipment Operator
• Duties: Operate excavators/dozers for stripping, digging, feeding trommel; assist with other placer mining related tasks
• Wage: $35–45/hour OT at 1.5x
• Requirements: Heavy equipment experience

Full-Time Labourer/Trainee
• Duties: Site support, cleanup; potential to learn operations/mechanics
• Wage: $25–35/hour OT at 1.5x
• Requirements: Physically fit and eager to learn; entry-level welcome

Part-Time/Weekend Roles
• Duties: Sluicing, equipment operation, or mechanical support (as needed)
• Schedule: Primarily weekends, 10–12 hours/day; flexible
• Wage: $25–50/hour, depending on role
• Requirements: Relevant mining/heavy equipment experience
