Job Description:
Elegant Coatings is a family-owned and operated business with over 15 years of experience installing high-quality epoxy and polyaspartic floor coatings across Calgary and Alberta. We’re growing and looking for reliable, hardworking team members to join our crew.
We are currently hiring both a Lead Hand and an Apprentice Epoxy Floor Coating Installer. Whether you’re an experienced installer ready to lead jobs or someone looking to start a career in the trades, we want to hear from you.
Both positions require:
Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Own vehicle
What the role involves:
Surface preparation including grinding with hand and floor grinders, concrete repairs, self-levelling, and shot-blasting
Installing premium polyaspartic and epoxy systems
Broadcasting flakes, quartz, and silica
Applying various topcoats
Use of professional-grade tools and equipment (floor grinders, vacuums, etc.)
Keeping the jobsite clean and professional
Delivering 5-star customer service
Apprentice Position ($17 /hr):
Some construction or trades experience required
Must be comfortable around power tools and concrete grinders
No previous epoxy or polyaspartic coating experience needed — full training provided
Ideal for motivated individuals 18 years and older who want to learn a skilled trade
Lead Hand Position ($25 /hr):
Minimum 2 years experience in epoxy/polyaspartic flooring or concrete coatings
Strong knowledge of metallic systems, solid colour systems, urethanes, polyaspartic flake systems, concrete prep, and concrete repair
Able to drive work truck and trailer
Able to lead a small crew (1–2 people) and successfully complete jobs to Elegant Coatings standards
