2007 Ford E-250 – 5.4L V8 – Short Wheelbase
Strong-running 5.4L V8 2 valve. I’m the second owner, owned it since it had only 20,000 km in 2010. Engine runs excellent and has been well maintained with 5,000 km oil changes. Doesn’t leak oil. Frame is solid with no rust; body has cosmetic rust typical for the year.
About 15,000 km ago, it received a new starter, alternator, and serpentine belt.
Transmission was rebuilt about 6 years ago. It currently has a transmission issue and does not shift into 4th gear. Transmission makes a whirring sound when warm. Vehicle is still drivable, but not reliable for regular use, so I parked it and bought another vehicle.
This van is a solid base; it has the reliable 5.4L V8 2-valve engine (not the problematic 3-valve Expedition version). Excellent for a project, whether that’s fixing or swapping the transmission or just use it as secure storage. It would also suit a farm or acreage vehicle or parts donor.
