Position: Data Platform Engineer – SAP BDC | Azure | Databricks

Join us to build and scale a modern enterprise data platform powering analytics and AI. You’ll work across SAP, Azure, and Databricks to deliver a secure, high-performance, AI-ready data ecosystem.
We are looking for candidates who are strong in SAP data engineering and are expanding into Databricks.

What You’ll Do
- Build and manage SAP BDC environments (Dev/QA/Prod)
- Design and build pipelines extracting SAP data (via BODS, SLT, CDS Views, ODP, APIs) into Databricks Delta Lake
- Integrate SAP BTP (Datasphere) with Databricks (Delta Lake)
- Develop and optimize data pipelines and lakehouse architecture
- Implement RBAC, data security, and governance (Purview)
- Enable data for AI/ML and API-based consumption
- Monitor performance, manage deployments, and ensure platform reliability

What You Bring
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business Data Cloud / SAP Business Technology Platform (including Datasphere, Data Intelligence)
- Strong experience with Databricks (Apache Spark, Delta Lake) and Azure data ecosystem (ADLS, Data Factory, Synapse)
- Proven experience integrating SAP data (S/4HANA, BW, ECC) into external platforms such as Databricks or Azure
- Expertise in SAP data extraction and integration techniques (ODP, SLT, CDS, BODS)
- Experience with data governance and cataloging tools such as Microsoft Purview, along with strong knowledge of RBAC, data masking, and fine-grained access control
- Exposure to identity and access management using Azure AD / Entra ID (SSO, MFA)
- Experience supporting data pipelines with monitoring, performance tuning, and SLA-driven operations
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and multi-environment deployments (Dev/QA/Prod)
- Familiarity with AI/ML data preparation, APIs, and modern data architecture patterns (e.g., data mesh)
- Understanding of data federation and virtual data modeling concepts in SAP environments

Nice to Have
- AI/LLM data integration experience
- SAP ERP (S/4HANA), EWM, or enterprise system integration
- This role requires hands-on SAP Databricks integration experience. Candidates with only SAP or only Databricks experience will not be considered.
