FT Stable Hand required at Cara Stables, 10 minutes south of Calgary

Where you have worked with horses & for how long?

if you are interested, we proceed with You coming out to try it for a 1/2 day asap.

Looking for someone hardworking, enthusiastic and reliable that pays attention to detail. Must have experience handling horses. Must work well with others but be able to work independently and unsupervised when needed. You must be physically fit to perform this job.

Duties include but are not limited to: fencing, feeding, blanketing, turn in/out, mucking 15 stalls, cleaning paddocks, general cleaning and maintenance (indoors &outdoors)
Driving farm equipment ( tractor, quad, skidsteer)

Heavy lifting of 65 lb Hay bales.
You need to be able to Clean a stall in 10 min.
You need to know how to put halters or blankets on. Recognizing when a horse is ill or injured , know the symptoms of colic or founder when a horse is ill.

This is a Full time position. 8-9 hour days & It is 5 days a week.

Looking for someone able to commit to long term.
Preference will be given to candidates that are able to commit to a minimum 1 year & preferably 3 -5 years.
