Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Charcoal Grill Chef with hands-on experience in traditional charcoal cooking. The ideal candidate will specialize in preparing high-quality grilled items, including shawarma, whole chicken, and wings, with a strong focus on flavor, consistency, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and grill shawarma, whole chicken, and wings over charcoal to consistent quality standards
Manage charcoal grill operations, including fire control, heat levels, and cooking timing
Marinate meats and ensure proper seasoning and preparation techniques
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station
Monitor food quality, portioning, and presentation
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
Work efficiently during high-volume service periods
Requirements:
Proven experience working with charcoal grills (not gas or electric)
Strong understanding of grilling techniques, heat management, and timing
Experience with shawarma or Middle Eastern-style grilled foods is an asset
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
