Continuous Operation & Regeneration: The EDI process is continuous, eliminating downtime required for traditional DI resin regeneration. The ion exchange resins are continuously regenerated by an electric field, preventing resin exhaustion.
Chemical-Free Process: No hazardous chemicals (acid or caustic) are needed for regeneration, making it environmentally friendly and safer, as it eliminates chemical handling and disposal costs.
High Water Quality: Elix® EDI technology consistently produces high-purity water, typically achieving resistivity >10–15 MΩ·cm @ 25 °C and removing >99% of ions.
Low Operating & Maintenance Costs: The module eliminates the need for expensive service deionization (DI) cartridges, resulting in low, predictable running costs.
Advanced Design (Carbon Beads): The module uses patented technology that includes activated carbon beads in the concentrate compartments, which helps prevent scaling and ensures a long lifespan.
