J & M Randhawa Trucking is looking for a highly organized and motivated Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in trucking and logistics, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing drivers, freight, schedules, and customer updates.

This role is essential to keeping operations running smoothly by coordinating loads, dispatching drivers, tracking shipments, maintaining records, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Responsibilities

-Coordinate and assign freight shipments to drivers
-Dispatch drivers according to schedules, work orders, and operational needs
-Monitor load progress and provide real-time updates to customers
-Maintain communication with drivers throughout their shifts and address delays, routing issues, or changes
-Track driver schedules, routes, equipment usage, mileage, fuel use, and other operational expenses
-Keep accurate records of shipments, work orders, dispatch activity, and driver logs
-Schedule pickups and deliveries while ensuring efficient fleet utilization
-Assist with load planning and setup for the next day
-Communicate with customers, drivers, internal staff, and other terminals to optimize resources
-Prepare reports on trucking performance and productivity
-Ensure driver compliance with Hours of Service, safety regulations, and company policies
-Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment availability for inspections and repairs
-Provide rate quotes, help with pricing, and support booking loads when needed
-Use load boards and dispatch software to source and manage freight
-Handle customer inquiries and resolve service issues professionally
-Assist with data entry, invoices, emails, and phone communication
-Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
-dentify sales opportunities and generate leads through cold calling, email, or networking.

Qualifications

-Previous trucking/logistics dispatch experience required
-Minimum 1–2 years of dispatching experience preferred
-Experience in long-haul trucking dispatch
-Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. trucking routes, border crossings, and regulations
-Experience with cross-border documentation, customs coordination, and ACE/ACI
-Familiarity with Loadlink and dispatch/load planning software

Strong knowledge of:

-Canadian and U.S. Hours of Service regulations
-Cargo securement regulations
-Weight and dimension regulations
-Freight handling and transportation planning
-Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
-Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
-Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and stay detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
