Vintage 90s La Mexicana Ostrich Boots - Size 10 - Handmade
Description
For sale is a pair of authentic, high-quality La Mexicana Cowboy boots from the early 1990s. These have been carefully stored in a wooden chest for nearly 30 years and are being offered in their original, unmodified vintage "survivor" state.
Detailed Specs & Craftsmanship:
Exotic Leather: A rare hybrid construction featuring Ostrich Leg (armoured scale pattern) on the front and back for durability, and Full Quill Ostrich (iconic bumps) on the sides.
Design: Beautifully detailed red and white Western embroidery on the genuine leather shafts. Includes the iconic 90s "crossed pistols" logo.
Handmade Build: Crafted in León, Mexico, with traditional brass-pegged arches and a stacked leather heel.
Material Stamps: Clearly marked inside: Corte Vacuno (Bovine), Forro Porcino (Pigskin lining), and Suela de Cuero (Leather sole).
Sizing & Fit:
Markings: Stamped USA 9 / MEX 28.
Actual Fit: These fit generously. Although marked a 9, they fit more like a US Men's 9.5 or even a 10. I personally wear a 9.5 and these fit comfortably with Merino Wool padded socks.
Condition Note:
I have lightly dusted these with a horsehair brush and a damp cloth, but I have not applied any conditioners. I am leaving the final "finishing touches" to the new owner’s preference or a professional cobbler to ensure they are treated correctly for their next 30 years.
Wear: Worn only 6-7 times. There is minor, honest wear on the rear rubber heel pads from a barn dance on a concrete floor; otherwise, they are in excellent vintage condition. I’m selling these boots for $150 less than their estimated vintage value, so new owner has room to bring them to a professional Cobbler!
