We at Khao hakka are seeking dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, knows how to use a wok and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that our dishes are prepared efficiently and to perfection. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling practices.
- Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed to prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock is low.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices within the restaurant and food service industry.
- Experience in meal preparation and cooking within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail in food presentation and quality control.
- Basic understanding of food handling regulations and best practices.
