Feedlot Worker
Description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Feedlot Worker to join our team! The successful candidate may participate in all aspects of daily feedlot operations - from cattle health and feeding to equipment operation and maintaining facilities. Wage starts at $23.00/hour (dependent on experience) at 50 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
-Monitoring and maintaining all aspects of cattle health and welfare including preventing and treating illness and injury, feeding, cleaning pens and water bowls, etc.
-Mixing and delivery of feed rations
-Operating and maintaining various equipment, tools and machinery such as tractors, loaders, skid steers, excavators, etc.
-Upkeep, maintenance and fabrication of farm infrastructure such as pens, fences, feed bunks, alleys, roadways, etc.
-Following all health and safety procedures
-General farm duties as required
Requirements:
-Minimum 2 years' experience in a farm, feedlot and/or livestock setting
-Strong knowledge of feedlot operations is an asset
-Experience operating and maintaining equipment
-Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and outdoor environments
-Must have authorization to work in Canada
