Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00

Greater Sudbury Security Inc. is a locally owned and operated security agency proudly serving the Greater Sudbury area. As we grow, we are recruiting candidates to build our roaster for upcoming event security, patrol services and facility protection. GSS is looking for motivated, dependable and professional Security Guards looking to advance with our company with the opportunity to move into full-time, supervisory or managerial roles.

Required Qualifications
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License in good standing with clear criminal background check,
• Minimum Level C First Aid and CPR certification
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing or walking for extended periods and occasional lifting.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and casual/on-call shifts as required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, corrections, or related enforcement roles.
• Graduate of a Police Foundations or related public safety program.
• Experience with event security, crowd management, or large public gatherings.
• Career-driven individuals interested in long-term growth within the protection and security field.
Required Skills & Competencies
• Ability to remain professional, calm, and alert in dynamic or high-pressure environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to complete clear and accurate reports.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills when interacting with the public, staff, and clients.
• Strong situational awareness, observation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to follow established procedures and respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Professional demeanor and sound judgment when handling sensitive or challenging situations.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
• Work environments may include sporting events, festivals, community events, concerts, live entertainment venues with loud noises, flashing lights, and various property protection sites.
• Role requires frequent standing, walking, and patrolling both indoors and outdoors, sometimes for extended periods and in varying weather conditions.
• May involve crowd control and managing public safety in dynamic and potentially high-traffic environments.
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies or incidents in busy or noisy settings is required.
• Physical tasks may include lifting or moving light equipment, conducting inspections, and using communication devices.
