Job Title: Scrap Metal Sorter

Location: North Queen St & Shorncliffe Rd, Etobicoke, ON
Pay Rate: $23/hour

Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Overtime may extend to Mon–Fri 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Sat 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit individual to join our team as a Scrap Metal Sorter. This role involves sorting, processing, and handling various non-ferrous metals in a fast-paced recycling environment.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and sort non-ferrous metals such as copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel, zinc, and lead
Process materials using saws and basic tools
Load, unload, and move materials safely
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
Able to work required schedule including weekends and overtime
Basic understanding of metal types is an asset
Assets

Experience operating a baler or wire stripping machine
Forklift licence and experience
Work Location: In person
