Position: General Farm Labourer
Terms of Employment: Full-Time

Work Location: 2461 Albuna Townline Kingsville or 369 Talbot St. W Leamington
Wage Rate: $17.60 per hour
Hours of Work: Approx. 40–60 hours per week

Job Duties and Responsibilities
General farm labourers will perform the following duties in accordance with operational needs:
• Planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops
• Pruning, tying, and maintaining plants
• Plant Maintenance – clipping, suckering, lowering, deleafing, grading and transplant crops.
• Winding, pruning, harvesting, checking the quality of harvested produce.
• Ability to distinguish between colours.
• Sorting, grading, packing and stacking produce
• Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, tools, and equipment
• Assisting with greenhouse or field maintenance
• Monitoring crop conditions, detecting disease and reporting issues to supervisors
• Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Performing other general farm duties as assigned

Skills Requirements
Education:
• No degree, certificate, or diploma required
Work Experience:
• Will train. No experience required; farm or greenhouse experience is an asset
Additional Skills & Work Conditions:
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Ability to stand, bend, and lifting (30 lbs max.) for extended periods
• Ability to work in warm, humid, & cold/refrigerated
• Ability to distinguish between colours
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Willingness to follow instructions and safety protocols
