Vintage 1970s Apple Head Doll Old Woman Knitting 11 Inches – Folk Art
This vintage folk art Apple Head Doll depicts a woman sitting on a chair with her knitting needle, a book, and a spinning wheel. She measures approximately 11 inches tall. She has a dark complexion, bright eyes, and golden hair tied up in a bun at the back. She is handmade, original and one-of-a-kind.
The doll’s head is made of dried apple, and her body is made of semi-hard bendable plastic. Her hair is made of silk thread hair and she has a barrette on the back. She has a beautiful crinoline and bloomers, and lovely shoes. Her dress is adorned with buttons on the back and she has a pendant necklace.
She sits easily on the chair while holding her knitting and her book, with the spinning wheel (the wheel of which can spin around) beside her.
The spinning wheel measures about 5-1/2 inches X 5-1/2 inches. The chair measures 8 inches X 8 inches X 3 inches. The little book measures 2-1/2 inches X 1-1/2 inches.
She has never been played with so is in excellent condition. She comes from a smoke and pet-free home. She has been kept in storage so is clean and dust-free.
