Meet Sarge

7 year old | 16.1HH | Buckskin Quarter Horse

This is incredibly hard for me to write, but Sarge deserves a home where he can get the time and consistency he truly deserves.

Sarge has been with me since he was just 7 months old, and he has become my absolute heart horse. Because of that, I’m going to be very picky about where he goes. This is not a sale I ever imagined making, but life has changed and I simply don’t have the time for him anymore.

Sarge is green broke with 30 days of professional training and has even been started on roping steers. He really seems to enjoy roping and would likely excel with someone wanting to continue in that direction. He is very smart, willing, and athletic — but he is definitely a LOT of horse and will need an experienced/confident rider to bring out his full potential.

Personality-wise, he is the definition of an “in your pocket” horse. Honestly… almost too much sometimes He is always the first one to the gate and all he wants is attention and love. He truly bonds deeply with his person.

His only vice is that he can occasionally be stubborn about loading, but if you shake a bucket of oats he usually changes his mind pretty quickly.

I genuinely believe Sarge could thrive in almost any discipline or home with the right person. He has so much heart and talent, and he deserves someone who can give him the consistency, confidence, and time that I unfortunately can’t right now.
