Logistics & Delivery Driver (Part-Time, Contract) – Healthcare
Location: Edmonton
Company: Pharmacia2Go
Schedule: Morning shifts (8:00 AM – 12:00/1:00 PM)
Compensation: Starting at $20/hour (review after 10 months, up to $23/hour)
Job Type: Contract (Part-Time → Potential Full-Time Opportunity)
About the Role
Pharmacia2Go is looking for a dependable and proactive Logistics & Delivery Driver to support our healthcare delivery operations in Edmonton.
This role goes beyond standard driving it combines delivery, coordination, and operational oversight to ensure a smooth and reliable experience for pharmacies and patients.
Important:
This is not a typical parcel delivery role (e.g., Amazon, Temu, or food delivery).
You will be handling regulated healthcare deliveries, including prescription medications, which require:
High professionalism and accountability
Strict adherence to handling and delivery protocols
Strong attention to accuracy, privacy, and compliance
This position is ideal for someone who is organized, communicative, and comfortable managing both driving and operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations
Manage and execute morning delivery routes efficiently
Follow up on failed or returned deliveries from the previous day:
Re-attempt delivery or return items to pharmacy locations
Handle and reconcile collectibles (payments/items) from drivers
Driver Coordination
Conduct brief daily check-ins (10–15 minutes) with drivers
Reinforce standard operating procedures and service expectations
Address previous day issues and ensure alignment
Pharmacy Support
Act as a point of contact for pharmacy staff
Handle daily operational issues, complaints, and urgent requests
Maintain a high level of customer service and problem resolution
Logistics & Routing
Support route planning and optimization
Manage urgent/time-sensitive delivery requests
Ensure deliveries are completed in line with service standards
Reporting & Communication
Maintain consistent communication with drivers during dispatch
Participate in weekly touchpoints with reporting manager
Requirements
Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle (car is sufficient)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to handle objections and resolve issues professionally
Strong multitasking, organization, and time management skills
Comfortable using mobile apps, GPS/navigation tools, and communication platforms
Ability to work independently and take ownership
Preferred Experience
Experience in logistics, dispatch, or delivery coordination
Experience in healthcare or pharmacy-related services (asset)
Experience in a supervisory or coordinator-type role (asset)
Additional Requirements
Must pass a background check
Must be willing to sign a Contract
Agreement, including:
Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Must attend regular weekly check-ins
Must have legal authorization to work in Canada
