An Interlocking Helper (or Landscape/Construction Helper) assists experienced installers in constructing and maintaining hardscape features, including brick pavers, patios, driveways, and retaining walls. This is a physically demanding, entry-level to mid-level role that focuses on site preparation, material handling, and supporting the crew lead to ensure efficient project completion.Core ResponsibilitiesSite Preparation: Assisting with excavation, grading, digging, and leveling the area for the base, as well as installing and compacting the base materials (gravel/sand).Interlocking Installation: Laying stones in designated patterns, cutting pavers to fit around corners or obstacles using saws, and installing edge restraints.Finishing Work: Spreading polymeric sand to fill joints, sweeping, compacting the final surface, and performing final site cleaning.Material Handling: Loading and unloading paving stones, sand, gravel, and equipment (e.g., packers, saws) from trucks to the work area.General Labour: Supporting the crew by cleaning tools, organizing the site, and assisting with related landscaping tasks like sodding
