Private Skating Lessons (All Ages) – Former Learn to Skate Trainer & Competitive Hockey Player

I am a 2nd-year pre-med university student with over 10 years of competitive hockey experience in the GTHL (2012–2023), and I previously worked as a Learn to Skate (LTS) trainer at Cassie Campbell Community Centre for 2 years. During my time with LTS, I taught skaters ranging in age from 3 to seniors.

Since LTS is one of the primary skating lesson programs available in the Peel Region, I can provide very similar instruction and skill development in a private 1-on-1 setting

What I Offer:
- Private skating lessons for all ages
- Direct 1-on-1 coaching instead of large group classes
- Lessons based on Learn to Skate programs (to provide structure), while also being influenced by my personal experience as someone who has been skating since childhood.
- Patient, encouraging, and beginner-friendly instruction with 1-on-1 conversations with parents after every class

- Standing and balance
- Walking on ice
- Forward skating
- Backward skating
- Glides
- Stopping
- Crossovers
- Edge control and general skating confidence
- And more!

Lessons are held during public skating sessions. I will cover the public skate admission fee for your child (covered by the lesson fee)

Because lessons take place during public skates with limited ice space, these sessions are best suited for beginners and intermediate skaters looking to improve fundamental skating ability.

Please note: If you are a high-level hockey or figure skater looking for high-speed skating instruction that might require full-ice access, these lessons may not be the best fit.

Pricing:
Brampton’s Learn to Skate (LTS) program typically charges around:
- $500 for 2.5 hours of private lessons for non-Brampton residents
- $330 for 2.5 hours of private lessons for Brampton residents

Since LTS lessons are usually only 30 minutes long once per week, this can work out to roughly:
-$60 per week for Brampton residents
-$100 per week for non-Brampton residents

After working there for a couple of years, I personally felt that 30-minute sessions were not always worth the price being charged.

For this reason, I decided to offer 50-minute private sessions for $45 per lesson. However, I charge $25 for your first class, with every additional class being a flat $45.

Pricing includes:
- No long-term commitment (If you'd like to set up a package deal, please let me know)
- No requirement to pay for a multi-week program
- No additional public skating fee

Payment is made at the beginning of each lesson, and I personally cover both my own admission and your child’s admission to the public skate.
