About Us

At Shift Heating & Cooling, we are committed to “Shifting the Standard in Comfort.” We are a locally owned and growing company providing residential and light commercial HVAC services throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.

We are currently looking for a motivated and dependable 2nd or 3rd Year Refrigeration or Sheet Metal Apprentice to join our team in a service and installation role.

Position Overview

This position involves working alongside our team on residential and light commercial HVAC installations, service calls, and maintenance work. We are looking for someone eager to continue learning and growing within the HVAC industry.

Responsibilities
Assist with installation of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems
Perform service, maintenance, and troubleshooting on HVAC equipment
Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues
Maintain clean and organized job sites and work vehicles
Complete service paperwork and job notes accurately
Communicate professionally with customers and team members
Follow all safety procedures and company standards
Qualifications
Registered 2nd or 3rd Year Refrigeration or Sheet Metal Apprentice
Service experience considered a strong asset
Valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Professional attitude and customer service skills

Schedule
Full-time position
Monday to Friday with occasional overtime/weekend work during peak season
Wage
$25–$35/hour depending on experience, apprenticeship level, and service ability
