NOW HIRING – EXPERIENCED KITCHEN HELPER Busy Trinidadian restaurant looking for an experienced kitchen helper to join our team. Requirements: • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen • Knowledge of Trinidadian/Caribbean food is an asset • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work weekends • Must be able to assist with food prep, cleaning, and kitchen organization . HOURS You must have FULL AVAILABILITY from Tuesday to Saturday from 11 am to approximately 5-6 pm, with flexibility to work both day every day. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Assist with food preparation and cooking Trinidadian dishes according to our recipes, including jerk chicken, roti and doubles - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen space, including dishwashing and trash removal - Prepare and assemble food orders, including grilling over live fire - Stock and rotate food supplies - Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations - - Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards QUALIFICATIONS - Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating portion sizes - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Strong attention to detail - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately - Prior experience in a kitchen or food service setting We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
