The Persian Grill House is a well-established Persian restaurant in Victoria, British Columbia, with over 19 years of experience serving authentic halal Persian cuisine to families and communities across Greater Victoria. Our offerings include dine-in, weekend buffet, catering, corporate and private event services, and online ordering. As we continue to grow our brand presence, expand our catering and events operations, and engage more deeply with the Persian-speaking and multicultural communities of Vancouver Island, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to lead our communications and brand strategy.
Position Overview
The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all marketing, public relations, advertising, and corporate communications activities of The Persian Grill House. Reporting directly to the owner and management team, this senior role requires a strategic communicator with expertise in brand management, digital marketing, community engagement, and multi-channel communications. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in growing the restaurant’s presence across local, regional, and culturally diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to grow brand awareness and drive customer engagement across all service lines, including dine-in, catering, events, and online ordering
• Plan and execute multi-channel advertising and promotional campaigns across social media, digital platforms, print, and community media
• Manage the restaurant’s brand identity and ensure consistent messaging across all internal and external communications channels
• Develop and oversee content creation for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook), the company website, newsletters, and promotional materials
• Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets, community organizations, cultural associations, and corporate clients
• Act as the primary liaison for media inquiries, press coverage, and public relations matters
• Plan, coordinate, and promote corporate and private events, catering bookings, and weekend buffet programs
• Develop outreach strategies targeting Persian-speaking, Middle Eastern, and multicultural communities in Greater Victoria and Vancouver Island
• Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, customer feedback, and market trends to inform strategy
• Manage relationships with external advertising vendors, graphic designers, and digital marketing agencies
• Prepare regular reports to management on marketing performance, campaign outcomes, and brand growth initiatives
• Supervise and coordinate the work of communications and marketing support staff or contractors
Required Qualifications
Education: A university degree or college diploma in marketing, communications, public relations, business administration, or a related field is required. Equivalent combinations of education and extensive professional experience in marketing and communications management will be considered.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in marketing, public relations, corporate communications, or advertising management, including demonstrated experience in a senior or managerial capacity, is required.

Skills and competencies required:
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic marketing and communications plans across multiple channels
• Strong experience in social media management, digital marketing, brand communications, and content creation
• Proven ability to manage advertising campaigns including digital platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads) and community media
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience in event planning, promotion, and coordination is a strong asset
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse cultural communities and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
• Proficiency in Farsi/Persian is considered a strong asset given the Company’s engagement with Persian-speaking communities and its culturally focused brand
• Experience marketing culturally specific businesses, restaurants, or hospitality brands
• Professional certifications in digital marketing, PR, or communications (e.g., Google, Meta Blueprint, HubSpot)
• Familiarity with the Persian-speaking and Middle Eastern communities in Victoria and Vancouver Island
• Experience with CRM tools, website content management systems, and analytics platforms
Compensation & Benefits
• Wage: $65.00 per hour (approximately $135,200 annually based on a 40-hour work week)
