Part-Time Electrical Estimator – Semi-Retired Welcome

Seeking an experienced Part-Time Electrical Estimator to assist with commercial, industrial, and service-related estimating on an as-needed basis.

This position is ideal for a semi-retired or retired electrical estimator looking to stay active in the industry without the demands of full-time work.

Position Details

Part-time / casual / flexible hours

Work remotely or from office as needed

Occasional estimating for service calls, renovations, tenant fit-outs, and small-to-medium projects

Flexible schedule based on workload and availability

Competitive hourly or per-project compensation


Responsibilities

Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents

Prepare accurate electrical estimates and quotations

Perform material take-offs and labour calculations

Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors

Assist with budgeting and project costing

Provide input on value engineering and project planning

Support service department quoting when required


Qualifications

Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator

Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems

Experience with service estimating considered an asset

Knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code and construction practices

Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications

Familiarity with estimating software and Excel

309A Electrician background considered a strong asset
