Shop Labourer
Location: Sydort, NS
Job Type: Seasonal / Part-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday (occasional afterhours/weekends as needed)

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Shop Labourer to assist with daily operations in a busy shop environment. The successful candidate will support shop staff with material handling, cleanup, equipment preparation, and general labour duties to help maintain a safe and efficient workspace.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move propane tanks and equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop
• Assist tradespeople and technicians as required
• Operate basic hand and power tools
• Prepare materials for fabrication or repair work
• Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies
• Perform general labour and warehouse duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labour
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous shop, warehouse, or construction experience considered an asset
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• WHIMIS Certification is an asset.
• Propane cylinder filling licence is an asset
