Star Gro Products is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Planning and Development Director, Udder Health to join our team in Chilliwack, BC. This is a specialized position within the dairy industry, with a core focus on optimizing udder health and promoting sustainable herd management practices that reduce reliance on conventional medicines and antibiotics. The successful candidate will serve as both a trusted advisor and a key sales representative, helping dairy producers improve performance through science-based solutions and data-driven insights.

Job duties:
- Plan, establish, organize, direct, control, evaluate and grow our company’s wholesale network and loyal customer base, representing Star Gro Products across Canadian dairy markets
- Plan, develop and organize the policies and procedures of this network
- Introduce and promote new products within the dairy industry, effectively communicating their value and application to producers and stakeholders
- Develop action plans and provide expertise in response to our clientele’s needs, and support and advise project teams
- Drive sales performance while conducting new product and market research to identify emerging opportunities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and service strategy across multiple regions in Canada, adapting approaches to local market needs
- Direct and advise distributors and (future) staff in the development and implementation of service quality assessment strategies
- Plan and administer budgets for contracts, equipment and supplies
- Monitor and analyze herd data to identify performance gaps and deliver actionables
- Support customers in implementing best practices to minimize antibiotic usage and improve overall herd health and productivity

Required qualifications, skills and abilities:
- a bachelor's degree or college diploma in Sales, Business Development, Wholesale & International Trade, Logistics Management or Regional Management, or another field related to the business service provided, is required
- several years of experience in Sales Management, Business Development and/or Operations Management a field related to the business service provided are required, preferably in the dairy industry or a directly related industry
- a demonstrated track record in sales, account management or business development within agricultural or livestock sectors is a bonus
- familiarity with udder health management, mastitis prevention, and antibiotic stewardship programs is a strong asset
- strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage producers, wholesalers, and industry partners
- analytical mindset with experience interpreting herd performance data and translating findings into practical recommendations is a strong asset
- self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing a broad sales territory independently
- proficiency in standard business software; experience with agricultural data platforms is an advantage
- good English language skills, a resumé and references

Additional info:
- this is a full-time, permanent position, based on 30 hours per week or more
- wage: $55-$65/hour, depending on experience
- benefits: a health spending account up to $1,500 annually
