CNC Tech Inc. located at 1550 Yorkton Court, Unit 2, Burlington, ON L7P 5B7, provides support and maintenance for CNC machines to a wide range of industries. We have a full-time permanent vacancy for a CNC Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team.

Mechanical Duties

• Mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC machines
• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings
• Mechanical repairs of CNC equipment such as:
o Spindle teardowns and re-builds,
o machine geometry and machine tool alignments,
o head rebuilds,
o machine tool installation,
o spindle taper grinding, b
o all screw teardown and rebuilds
• Inspect and examine mechanical CNC equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
• Adjust CNC mechanical equipment and repair or replace defective parts
• Replace Servo Motors
• Inspect the mechanical transmission system and perform adjustments such as backlash correction, guideway reconditioning, or ball screw replacement.


Education:

• Completion of High School
• Completion of Red Seal/Journeyman certificate as millwright or engineering diploma or engineering degree or eligible to challenge the Millwright examination in Ontario.

Required Experience:

• Must have experience in the installation and/or maintenance of machines like presses, shearing, rolling, mills, and lathes, etc.
• Ability to evaluate condition of new and damaged mechanical CNC or conventional machining equipment and make recommendations for repair or replacement.
• Strong interpersonal skills - dealing with customers on a frequent basis and must be able to work independently
• Flexibility to travel within GTA and surrounding areas directly from home to client sites.
• English is the language at the workplace
• Strong electrical & mechanical skills (industrial automated systems and schematics)
• Knowledge and understanding of robotic automation processes

Wages and Benefits:

• CAD $35 - $40 per hour for 40hrs per week
• Increases possible based on performance at management discretion
• 3 weeks’ vacation per annum
• Company printer/scanner, laptop (if needed)
• Monthly vehicle allowance (reimbursement for fuel that is for business use)
• Monthly company cell phone allowance
• Weekly cell phone allowance & weekly car allowance

o Which control systems have you worked with (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain)?
