CNC Shop Assistant & General Laborer (Paid Training)
Description
Job Title: CNC Shop Assistant & General Laborer Employment Opportunity (No experience required)
Location: Brownlee, SK (30 mins NW of Moose Jaw - Must have reliable transport)
Position Type: Full-Time / Immediate Start
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00/hr (Depending on experience)
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are a private, veteran-owned manufacturing company currently building out a new, high-tech CNC production facility in Brownlee, SK.
We don’t need you to be a master machinist today. We are looking for a hardworking, mechanically-minded local (within commuting distance to Brownlee) who wants to get paid to help us build this shop from the ground up, and then transition into running our automated equipment once we go live.
PHASE 1: FACILITY SETUP (Current)
Right now, this role is hands-on and physically demanding. You will be helping us physically transform a raw shop into a clean manufacturing space.
* Installing ceiling insulation and vapor barriers.
* Heavy lifting, unloading raw materials, and staging shop equipment (up to 75 lbs).
* Organizing the warehouse floor to prep for machinery delivery.
PHASE 2: CNC PRODUCTION (Future)
Once the shop is built, your job transitions into clean, high-tech manufacturing. We will train you from scratch on everything you need to know.
* Operating our automated CNC machinery to cut and process acoustic paneling (not dusty MDF like most other CNC shops are cutting).
* Assembling, quality-checking, and packaging finished products onto shipping pallets.
* Managing inbound/outbound delivery trucks.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Grit: You are comfortable on your feet, aren't afraid to sweat, and can consistently lift heavy materials.
* Mechanical Aptitude: You know your way around basic shop tools and understand how things work (military/construction/handywork/farm experience is a huge plus).
* Tech-Friendly: You aren't intimidated by computers. You will eventually be using software to run the CNC machine.
* Extreme Ownership: If you see a mess, you sweep it without being told.
HOW TO APPLY
We move fast and value efficiency. Send your resume and a brief introductory email to BrownleeCNC@gmail.com for consideration. If what we see aligns with our expectations, we will reply to schedule your preliminary screening interview via video conference (or in-person meeting if you are in the Moose Jaw/Brownlee/Central Butte area).
